Grossbard, Batia

(b. 1910)
   Israeli artist. Born in Ostrow, Poland, she emigrated to Palestine in 1938 and served with the British Army. She eventually settled in Haifa and married the painter Yehoshua Grossbard. Her work includes mountainscape drawings of the post-Six Day War period through to the 1970s. Her later work is highly abstract.
